SPECIAL needs children from across the UK have benefited from £250,000 raised by staff at support services firm Sodexho.
The firm, which has offices in Westlea and employs about 100 people in Swindon, made a huge contribution towards raising the money for children's charity KidsOut.
Staff organised sponsored swims, cake sales, non-uniform days, raffles and auctions, as well as contributions through the firm's payroll. There were also collection boxes in offices.
Human resources director Martin Archer said it was a remarkable achievement to raise so much money.
He added: "We share KidsOut's belief that fun and happiness is an essential part of childhood. For most this is something they experience every. For others it's different ."
KidsOut chief executive John Garner said: "It is thanks to such commitment and compassion that charities, such as ours, are able to continue their work."
