MEMBERS of a Swindon charity group are celebrating raising about £400 for the Thamesdown Hydro-therapy Pool.
Three members of the Swindon Rotaract Club Bruce Boulton, Lee Hudson and Ellen James took about seven hours to complete the recent annual Ridgeway charity walk run by Thamesdown Rotary Club. The walk consists of about 21 miles of countryside, stretching between the Red Lion in Avebury and the Royal Oak in Bishopstone.
Mr Boulton said: "We believe we have raised a total of about £400, and that the walk as a whole raised about £10,000 for various charities."
The Thamesdown Hydrotherapy Pool offers help to a range of clients, many of whom have mobility problems and pain.
