Wootton Bassett cemetery is the subject of an online questionnaire.
Residents are being urged to give their views about creating new cemetery space.
The moves comes after the town council started a public consultation on whether to create 'double-decker' graves at the existing Downs View site, amid concerns that space was steadily running out.
This would mean re-siting existing graves, starting with the oldest ones.
These date back to 1871.
The other option would be to create another cemetery.
The town council plans to make a decision by the end of the year.
The online questionnaire can be completed at www.woottonbassett.gov.uk.
Alternatively, those interested can drop off a letter at the town council offices at 117 High Street or email cascadeoffice@northwilts.gov.uk
