RECENTLY, I visited an art exhibition in the former Railway Museum in Faringdon Road.
The expanse of the museum is an ideal venue for exhibitions, displays, concerts and lectures etc.
The exhibition was thought-provoking and very enjoyable: greatly enhanced by the enthusiastic presence of the artists themselves.
Yet again, it proved the importance of this splendid building to accommodate all manner of events that need space to do them justice! Also, to embrace the theatrical and artistic requirements of people right across the spectrum of our diverse community, that they are not marginalised or made to feel excluded from having a suitable venue in which to display their own unique gifts and talents.
The former museum and our people need each other!
