Bath will come face to face with Ireland skipper Brian O'Driscoll on their return to Heineken C up action.
Last season's beaten Zurich Premiership finalists have been drawn with O'Driscoll's Leinster side in Pool Two of the 2004-05 competition.
French outfit Bourgoin twice beaten by Gloucester in last year's tournament and Italian side Bennetton Treviso make up the group.
Bath were winners of the competition in 1998, but have had to endure a two-year exile from Europe's premier event.
Gloucester, meanwhile, will tackle French aces Stade Francais away first, with Wales' Cardiff Blues and Irish province Ulster also in pool six.
Pool One: London Wasps, Calvisano, Biarritz, Leicester Tigers
Pool Two: Benetton Treviso, Leinster, Bath, Bourgoin
Pool Three: Llanelli, Glasgow, Northampton Saints, Stade Toulouse
Pool Four: Munster, Neath/Swansea Ospreys, Castres, NEC Harlequins
Pool Five: Edinburgh, Newport/Gwent Dragons, Perpignan, Newcastle Falcons
Pool Six: Stade Francais, Ulster, Cardiff Blues, Gloucester.
