SOLICITORS Pye-Smiths of New Street, Salisbury have a new partner and a new property lawyer.
Sue Martin, who has been running the firm's Brockenhurst office for more than 15 years, has been made a partner and Georgina Walters has joined the firm to help Jennifer Muller expand the property department.
Sue, a mother of four, who attended the London School of Economics and Guildford College of Law, was a partner in a London practice before moving to the south coast in 1982.
She set up in practice the following year as Martin's Solicitors, in Brockenhurst.
She specialises in conveyancing, probate, wills and matrimonial work, and in her spare time enjoys skiing, sailing, riding, theatre and eating out.
She said her new role would be a more managerial and administrative one.
"I have had a long association with the firm, running the Brockenhurst office," she said.
"It will be nice to be a part of Salisbury as well and to get to know the business community."
Georgina Walters will deal with all residential property matters, including sale, purchase and re-mortgage transactions, transfers of equity and granting of rights over property.
Before joining Pye-Smiths, she trained with a firm in Portsmouth, concentrating on property and commercial work. This followed four years working for a new media and licensing company in London and a healthcare company in Portsmouth.
She completed her legal practice course at the College of Law, in Guildford, and enjoys running and socialising in her spare time.
