The Callow Hill road, near Brinkworth, was the site of another car accident this week, after a crash in which a 21-year-old Dauntsey woman received head injuries.
It happened less than a week after a fatal crash in the same place, in which Brian Selman, 60, of Toothill, Swindon, died.
The woman was a passenger in a red Nissan Micra, which was being driven past Callow Hill at 10.30pm on Saturday by a 22-year-old man from Wootton Bassett.
Police believe the car spun out of control before smashing in to a ditch, throwing the woman, who was sitting in the back, out of the rear window. The car then rolled on to its roof before rejoining the B4042, a mile east of Callow Hill.
The woman was taken by ambulance to Swindon's Great Western Hospital and treated for head injuries, which were less serious than had been suspected.
The accident happened in practically the same spot as the collision last week in which Mr Selman lost his life.
The driver of the Nissan Primera that collided with Mr Selman's Volkswagon Golf was treated for arm and leg injuries in hospital, then arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving.
He has since been released on police bail pending further inquiries.
Almost exactly a year ago 37-year-old Angela Eldridge, from Malmesbury, was killed on the same stretch of road.
Since her death, campaigners from surrounding villages have been asking for speed limits and traffic calming measures on the road to prevent any more accidents.
Last week, Ann Gamble, clerk of Brinkworth Parish Council, said their campaign to have speed limits introduced in Brinkworth has been partially successful as there is a speed limit in the village itself, but not on the road out of it.
Any witness to the fatal crash, or the one on Saturday, are asked to call Sgt Chris Moore at Corsham traffic on (01249) 712 172.
