THERE was a feast of football for Chippenham Cub Scouts on Saturday when they contested their annual knockout cup competition.
The event was played out at Notton School and involved 13 Cub Scout football teams.
The six-a-side football competition involved games of five minutes each way.
The teams battled it out in mini leagues with qualifiers making it through to the quarter-final stage.
From there it was a straight-forward knockout and in the final it was 1st Derry Hill Cubs who defeated 3rd St Chippenham St. Peters.
The winning players were presented with their medals and the Don Gould trophy by assistant district commissioner Bob Christian.
Cub leader Jacqui Woodruff organised the event and said: "The tournament was all about the spirit of having fun.
"It also gave the kids a chance to meet up with each other. Some go to school together but had never realised they were in different cub packs."
"We must thank everyone who helped with the organising and many thanks go to Notton School for their hospitality in hosting the event."
