LEAGUE officers used the evnt to announce a number of new changes for next season and into the future.
The major change will see Chippenham based Auto Business Solutions Ltd replace outgoing Vanitec Computers as the league's sponsors for at least the next three years.
The league chairman John Haigh thanked Andy Russell for his support of the last three years and welcomed the new sponsors on board.
It was also announced that Westernsport Trophies another Chippenham based business would be taking over the sponsoring of the WG Parr Trophy for the next three seasons.
A new incentive scheme was announced that will reward the clubs that keep their administration in order and cause as few problems as possible to the officers of the league.
Clubs that go through the season without picking up any black marks against their names will be rewarded by receiving £40 worth of free registrations, which equates to 20 players signing on for nothing.
Added to that the top secretary will be rewarded with a cheque for £50.
Depending on the response to this idea it is hoped that the league will be able to bring in other incentive schemes in the future.
From next season the referees' match fees have been increased to £15 with the traveling expenses staying at 25p per mile. This is the first rise for many years and has been done to bring the Chippenham Sunday League in line with other leagues in the area and allow to compete on level terms with both the Swindon and Salisbury Sunday League's who have upped their fees in the hope on enticing referees away from the league to cover their own shortfall in match officials.
For the first time in many years the league has set its constitution at 65 teams.
The decision to move from 63 to 65 was taken with the view to provide two more sides with the opportunity to play football on a Sunday morning.
Following the withdrawal of long serving clubs The George Lacock and West End Wanderers along with Roadrunners FC and All Cannings B who left the league in mid season it allowed the clubs to vote for 6 out of the eight new applicants.
Those sides lucky enough to join the league were AFC Calne, AFC Melksham, Bar OC, Wanderers FC, The Crown FC and AFC Springfield. Although Vikings and Kings Arms (Market Lavington) did not get in on the night the door could still be open as three clubs failed to show for the meeting.
The new season begins on September 5 with 13 sides competing in all five divisions for the honours and will hopefully conclude on May 8, 2005.
