Thieves stole 30 koi carp worth around £750 and two pond water pumps from a back garden in Bishop Road, Calne.
The theft happened between June 16 and 23 and the police are investigating.
PC Rachael Jennings of Calne police station said the carp varied in size but were worth approximately £25 each.
She said: "The injured party states that she also disturbed two young males in her garden at approximately 2.30am on June 23. These males were moving her barbecue set but ran away when they saw a light turned on in the house."

Koi carp are often the target of thieves because they are a valuable fish. In July 2002, 14 fish worth more than £1,000 were stolen from a pond in Park South in Swindon. They included five Shibunkins, four koi carp, two fan tails and three large goldfish.
