YOUNGSTERS at Worton and Marston Primary School near Devizes, have been learning how to sculpt plaster of Paris.
Corsham sculptor Andrea Garrihy has been working with pupils in Year 6 who have finished their SATs.
Teaching assistant Belinda Harris said: "The children have thoroughly enjoyed the work and some of those who are not necessarily academic have really shone in this activity."
The children started by carving containers such as beakers and yoghurt pots .
The following week they made models with wire, including ballerinas, horses and foxes.
Ms Garrihy came to the school through the Participatory Arts Workshop scheme run by Kennet District Council.
Headteacher Sue Berry said: "The children loved Andrea helping them."
