CARING Gabriela Drage set up a stall in her street selling items to raise money for a cancer charity in memory of her aunt.
Gabriela and her older sister, Francesca, 12, of Edward Road, Devizes, were very close to their aunt, Wendy Blower, of Weymouth, and were devastated by her death from cancer in February 2003 aged 33.
Gabriela decided to have a table top sale and after two and a half hours she raised almost £29.
Gabriela's mother, Catherine Drage, who helped her, said: "Gabriela wanted to raise money for a cancer charity so she got together some videos, toys and books that she no longer wanted and got items from friends and her grandfather to sell.
"She put a poster up which said 'Come to my stall in memory of my auntie.' People were very generous. Some bought something for 20p but gave £1. One man gave us a £5 note, he was so impressed with what she was doing."
Gabriela, a pupil at St Joseph's Primary School, said: "I organised the sale because the money I raised will help other people who have cancer."
The money raised will either be sent to Breast Cancer Research or a cancer hospice in Weymouth.
