FUND-RAISER Tony Deakin has fulfilled a life's ambition by parachute jumping from an aeroplane.
Mr Deakin, 53, of Devizes, raised more than £1,000 for the MS Society, for sufferers of Multiple Sclerosis.
He said: "It was the most fantastic experience.
"It was a hot and sunny day but we still flew up through clouds to get to the right height for jumping, which was about two and a quarter miles above the ground."
Mr Deakin and skydiving instructor Wayne Costello went free fall for the first 5,000 feet but once the parachute opened, they enjoyed gently floating towards the ground.
Mr Deakin, catering manager at Appleford School in Amesbury, said: "It was an incredible experience which happened so quickly that I did not have time for second thoughts."
MS is the most common disabling condition of young adults.
