GREENERY is the key to slashing crime in Penhill, according to Sue Harrington.
The chairwoman of the Avebury Road Residents' Association said that a spot of colour can make all the difference in helping to reduce anti-social behaviour.
Her comments follow the donation of a Christmas tree by Wroughton-based garden centre Toomers.
It will be planted shortly on the green opposite the flats.
"I love this area but like most people who live here I want to improve it for future generations," said Mrs Harrington.
