Brendon Daniel has vowed to reproduce his devastating form of early last season after agreeing a new one-year contract with Bath.
Daniel dominated the scoring charts during the opening months of the last Premiership season, scoring four tries in six appearances.
But back and hamstring injuries then took their toll, sidelining the winger from November until the end of the season.
Bath have lost proven finishers Iain Balshaw and Wylie Human in the close season, paving the way for a fully-fit Daniel, Scotland's Simon Danielli and new Kiwi signing Joe Maddock to stake their claims.
And ex-Bristol man Daniel said: "I feel that I have something to prove and I want to bounce back better than before."
Daniel and his teammates start pre-season training next week.
Meanwhile, David Flatman is waiting on the opinion of two specialists to determine the full extent of his Achilles injury, while front row colleague Matt Stevens is expected be fit for the start of the new campaign, despite suffering a knee ligament injury on England's tour.
