JULY 1: Hell's Kitchen victor Jennifer Ellison will be a celebrity guest at North Wiltshire Festival 2004.
Organisers of the two-day festival on July 16 and 17 in Chippenham's Monkton Park have confirmed that blonde beauty Ms Ellison, a pop singer and former star of Brookside, will be a special guest on the Saturday.
"We are absolutely delighted to secure such a high-profile celebrity," said festival manager Graham Wilson.
"She is the star of the moment, and it is just fantastic news for North Wiltshire we can bring someone of such celebrity stature to the festival."
Ms Ellison won the gruelling reality television show Hell's Kitchen, a role that made her instantly recognisable for millions of viewers.
She had always wanted to be a star and acted throughout school and trained as a ballet dancer.
She wrote to Brookside aged nine to see if there were any roles for her.
By the time she was 14 Ms Ellison had taken the part of Emily Shadwick who dominated the Brookside storylines for five years.
Ms Ellison released a cover version of Transvision Vamp's Baby I Don't Care in the summer of 2003 and is working on an album, as well as breaking into the movies.
She has a house in Liverpool, as well as living in L.A while she tries to land movie roles. She also starred in I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here.
On Hell's Kitchen, working for chef Gordon Ramsay, she was famous for cooking up the popular dish of steak and chunky chips and festival organisers are hoping they can tempt her into the North Wiltshire Festival kitchen to give another cooking demonstration.
She will be flying to Bristol from Scotland on the Saturday and will spend several hours in Chippenham from late morning to early afternoon, touring the festival site and meeting local people. Ms Ellison is only one of many attractions at the business, leisure and community festival.
The festival will have all sorts of displays and events taking place, including a race for children, a recycling art contest and lots of information and displays relating to recycling, which is the theme of the festival.
