SHADOW Health Minister Andrew Murrison has won a battle on organ donation legislation in the House of Commons.
Amendments to the Human Tissue Bill in Parliament this week proposed introducing presumed consent of organ donation.
The MP opposed the plans fearing it would reduce the number of donors and fail to restore public confidence following scandals at Bristol Children's Hospital and Alder Hey in Liverpool.
The amendments were defeated in a House of Commons vote.
