ELECTIONS will be held in two west Wiltshire towns on July 15 with vacancies for district councillors in both Melksham and Trowbridge.
Three candidates are standing for the by-election in the Melksham north ward which became vacant following the death of Cllr Jackie Wells. They are: Vic Oakman, of Loxley Close, Melksham (Labour), Malcolm Paton, of Godwins Close, Atworth (Liberal Democrat), and Ken Williams, of Sarum Avenue, Melksham (Conservative).
Four candidates have put themselves forward for the vacancy caused by the resignation of Cllr Steve Squires in College ward, Trowbridge. They are: Sarah Content, of Castley Road, Trowbridge (Liberal Democrat), Peter Fuller, of Heather Shaw, Trowbridge (Conservative), Liam Silcocks, of Yarnbrook Road, West Ashton (Independent) and Timothy Unsworth, of Westfield Close, Trowbridge (Green Party).
Poll cards will be sent to households in the two affected wards, and polling stations will be open between 8am and 9pm on July 15.
