MAY the West Wiltshire Childminding Group, via your newspaper, thank all the people and local businesses who made our event to celebrate National Surestart Month such a success.
Children, childminders, parents and relations enjoyed a fantastic day at Magdalen Farm in Bradford on Avon, thanks to the kind generosity of Jenny Pointing who made all her facilities available to us including open fields, ponies (a special thanks to Boris, Nathaniel and Mr Jelly), stables, chickens, dogs and barbecue facilities. Children enjoyed many physical development opportunities including sand, water, ride-on vehicles, tunnels and tents. We had an egg box decorating competition with prizes kindly donated by Longleat and Boomerang. In the afternoon the children were entertained by local postman and storyteller Julian Weltike. Thanks should also go to Steve Nash of Trowbridge Town Council, PC Gary Jones, Budgens (Bradford on Avon), Winsley Stores and Jane Reynolds of TRIO Childcare Connections.
