FIRSTLY may I thank your newspaper for part-sponsoring the People of Wiltshire awards. It is very gratifying to find that industry and commerce can find the time and money to support the ordinary people of Wiltshire.
Secondly can I congratulate all the winners, but especially those from Westbury. Although the residents of Westbury form only a very tiny proportion of the population of Wiltshire, the fact that one third of the awards went to residents shows just what a caring and conscientious community it is. My congratulations go to all those from our town who were both nominated and final winners, who work so hard to make Westbury the wonderful town that it is. This is the second year running Westbury has featured large in the awards and this reflects well on the hard work the vast majority of the residents do to make the town such an outstanding place to live.
