A potentially dangerous mentally ill man being hunted by the Metropolitan police has connections with Swindon and may be in the area.
Paddington CID believes that Michael Weston may have travelled from London to Swindon.
The 34-year-old, who has been sectioned under the Mental Health Act and is described as vulnerable, has been missing since Saturday and police are growing increasingly concerned about his health and safety.
Mr Weston has a psychiatric history and was receiving daily treatment for schizophrenia.
It is feared that without this medication his condition may get worse and he could pose a potential danger both to himself and the public.
He is described as about 6ft tall, medium to thin build, with black and shaven hair. He was wearing dark clothing and black jogging bottoms. Anyone who sees Mr Weston is advised not to approach him and to phone 020 7321 9426, or 999 if it is an emergency.
