It may have been written in the 16th century, but Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream still makes an ideal choice for a summer play.
The leafy grounds of Roundstone School are to provide the backdrop for the Trowbridge Players' outdoor production, which will take to the stage at the end of the month.
The complicated love lives of two couples, Hermia and Lysander and Helena and Demetrius, are made even more chaotic with the appearance of an abundance of colourful characters including King and Queen of the Fairies, Oberon and Titania and a mischievous servant called Puck, who casts a spell on Bottom, giving him the head of a donkey.
A Midsummer Night's Dream, directed by Sylvia Seaman, will be performed from July 28-31.
Gardens open at 6.30pm each night for picnics before the performance gets under way at 7.30pm.
Audience members are encouraged to bring their own chair.
Tickets are £5 for adults, £4 concessions and are available from Trowbridge Tourist Information Centre and on the door.
