Karen Egan spent the day dressed as a chicken to raise money for Wroughton's Prospect Hospice.
The volunteer, who works in Prospect's Marlborough shop, donned the rubber outfit as part of the Prospect Sunflower Appeal.
"I was chasing attractive men down the high street and getting them to buy sunflowers," joked Mrs Egan, from Wanborough.
The yellow furry chicken stunt helped Karen and her fellow Marlborough street collectors raise £427 towards the appeal.
Wednesday's collection was one of several which took place in Wiltshire in aid of the hospice over the past few weeks and it is hoped the final total could reach £5,000.
Prospect's community fundraiser Maggie Gill said: "The chicken was original idea to help promote the street collection.
"Karen did a variety of dances and clucking to help raise money.
"She did a fantastic job and her chicken costume was a real pedestrian and car stopper.
"Everyone had an egg-cellent time."
The Prospect Hospice offers help and care to people with life-threatening illnesses.
