A GROUP of troubled Swindon teenagers have been given awards for completing an anger management course.
The eight-week course attempted to help the pupils improve their assertiveness and communication skills.
It also encouraged them to be more patient with others.
The seven pupils who took part in the course were all Year Eight pupils from Hreod Parkway and Greendown schools who were either struggling at school or at risk of exclusion. The course was organised by the Swindon 10-18 Project Step which provides therapeutic group work for young people.
Project worker Craig Hiscock said: "These young people have worked very hard over the past eight weeks.
"It's a major achievement for them to get through the course."
The children were presented with certificates of achievement.
