A guide to help older people navigate the complexities of the benefits system is available from Age Concern Swindon.
The charity has published a handbook, Your Rights, written by one of the country's leading experts on the benefits system for older people.
The guide is full of information about the range of benefits available.
This includes useful facts about the Pension Credit scheme which was introduced in October 2003.
The charity is hoping as many people as possible will claim their full entitlements.
"Many older people are struggling to make ends meet without realising they are entitled to benefits," said Val Newell, welfare benefits service manager at Age Concern Swindon.
"As the benefits available for older people increase, the need for up-to-date information becomes even more essential. The aim of the book is to reach older people who are missing out and help put pounds in their pockets."
Your Rights, priced at £4.99, is available from Age Concern Swindon, telephone 01793 692166.
