LECHLADE and Corsham 4ths romped to the biggest victories of the day in vastly different ways.

Lechlade, second in Division Two, faced an imposing 211 for victory at Sutton Veny.

But openers Matt Coe (140) and Roger Pettifer (57) knocked off the runs with ease to record a 10-wicket victory in the 32nd over.

Corsham 4ths bowlers did the damage in their Division Seven game at home to Potterne 2nds.

The quickest finish of the day saw the visitors shot out for their lowest league score of 21, Corsham winning by 10 wickets.

Division One

In the bottom-of-the-table clash with Nationwide House, Box struggled early on for runs against Martin Harman (2-44 from 15 overs) scoring 88-2 after 30 overs.

The last 15 however produced a further 133 as they ended with 221-6 thanks to Malcolm Bond with 47, Dave Crawford 34, and Gerald Hayward 27.

Nationwide made a flying start by contrast with Shane Thompson (87) and skipper Kevin Flay setting off at five an over, and a third wicket partnership of 79 between Shane and Eddie Roofe (33) took them within striking distance.

Nationwide finally won by five wickets with two overs to spare.

Great Bedwyn's challenge seems almost over as they lost at home to third-placed Calne. Bedwyn struggled for runs as Liam Botes took 6-27 in 15 overs, only George Stone's 42 enabling them to total 130-8.

Steve Richards, with an unbeaten 54, then led Calne to a six wicket victory.

Bath Civil Service consolidated in fourth place as they made 147 all out at home to Purton, for whom Toby Bowler took 4-34 in 15 excellent overs.

Purton were then dismissed for 108 (Martin Sansum 28), with John Cook taking 3-16 in nine overs.

Division Two

ALL the top three sides won as did bottom clubs Beanacre and Burbage & ER.

Leaders Spye Park entertained Swindon Civil Service and dismissed them for 148. Andy Mildenhall (49) and Mike Giddings (36) top-scored.

Spye went on to a six-wicket success thanks to Dave Beal (55 not out) and Rich Bowater (44).

Cooper-Avon Tyres kept the pressure on the leaders as they overcame visiting Buscot Park by five wickets.

Hamish Millar (52), Chris Cook (53) and Ronny Fernandez (40) saw Buscot to 182-6.

Nathan Mantle with 37 not out and Derek Wilde with 35 saw Cooper-Avon to victory with seven overs to spare.

At the other end of the table, Burbage & ER carried on from last week and gained the scalp of Urchfont.

Burbage scored 179-9 thanks to Terry Strong's 41 not out and Pete Amor's 40.

Urchfont were bowled out for 150, Archie Swatton taking 3-19 in seven overs.

Beanacre won for only the second time, and though they are still rooted to the foot of the table, their win has dragged their opponents Seagry down to ninth, two points adrift of Burbage.

Seagry made 222-3 with Alex Farraday scoring a fine 114 not out.

Beanacre were struggling until Roy Peacock (72) and Andy Story (73 not out) added 140 for their eighth wicket and helped them to a two-wicket victory.

Division Three

Wanborough stayed second as they won by three wickets at Heytesbury. The home side made 150-9 with Adam Ackworth (29) and Richard Jelfs (29) top scoring as Dan Holden took 4-20.

Paul Dore with 40 not out and Mike Pethick's 38 then steered Wanborough to their win despite Justin Wagstaff taking 4-39 in 15 overs.

The bottom-of-the-table clash at Highworth with Moredon Royal Oak saw the visitors' winning run continue.

Highworth were bowled out for 118 with Craig Bell top-scoring with 57.

Roger Morton's 56 not out then helped Moredon to a five-wicket win and lifted them two places while pushing Highworth back to the foot of the table.

Swindon 3rd also pulled away from the bottom with a 150- run home win over Lambourn.

Swindon, thanks to Gareth James with 49, Robin Sawyer with 41 not out and Mark Thomas with 48, made 217-7.

Craig Mabberley then took 5-13 in 3.5 overs and Paul Matter 2-13 in eight to bowl Lambourn out for 67.

Blunsdon moved up to third as they defeated fellow challengers Wroughton Wranglers.

Wroughton scored 171-7 with Dave Woodcock top scoring with 31 as Darren Fisher took 4-28 in 14 overs.

Thanks to Julian Beckett's solid 48 Blunsdon were able to gain a six-wicket win with two overs remaining.

Division Four

At Mildenhall, Graham Staplin scored exactly 100 as Wilcot rattled up 241-5.

Graham Smith then took 7-6 in 12 overs as Mildenhall slumped to their lowest league total of just 37 one run less than when the two clubs met last year.

At Coates, Wayne Sanderson took 3-8 and Tim Sanderson 3-28 for the home side as visiting Swindon Litten Tree were bowled out for 74.

Ian Barber with 39 and Dan Mead with 23 then helped Coates to an easy 10-wicket win.

Division Five

Nationwide won by eight wickets at home to Devizes 3rd.

Devizes were bowled out for 102, with Raj Samant taking 4-20 in 8.4 overs and Stuart Archer 2-13 in six.

Harry Vardon (29 not out) and Archer (24 not out) then saw Nationwide home in 20 overs.

Third-placed Purton had a nine-wicket success against visiting Burbage & ER 2nd after bowling them out for 93. John Dunn took 4-25 in 9 overs and Clive Newman 3-30 in 12.

Dave Allen with 55 and Gavin Allen with 32 then knocked the runs off in the 20th over.

Westinghouse 2nd followed last week's win with a 13-run success over United Churches.

Westinghouse scored 203-4 thanks to Paul Grace's 77 and Stuart Thompson with 38 not out.

John Haines with 7-24 in nine overs, including a hat-trick, then put the brakes on United Churches' reply as they ended on 190-9.

Division Six

Leaders Nettleton made 195-9 at home to Goatacre 3rd with Tony Bleakin 30, Rod Pratt 29 and Stuart Baker 29 top scoring. Jack Burston took 4-52 in 15 overs and Paul Henley 3-48 in 12.

In reply Goatacre managed only 127-9, thanks largely to Nick Wheatley with 64 as Andy Cousins took 3-29 in 15 overs and Ian Sandell 4-33 in 11.

Division Seven

Cooper-Avon Tyres 2nd kept their title chances alive following a five-wicket win at Dauntsey Gentlemen 2nd

Dauntsey were bowled out for 119 with Gordon Mitchell scoring 41 and Santos taking 5-34 in 12 overs.

With 33 from John Helps, Cooper-Avon moved on to victory as Peter Johnson took 3-13 in five overs.

Division Eight

Leaders Biddestone 3rd entertained Swindon 4th and scored 190-7, with Nick Hudson's 40 and Daryll Smith's 39 leading the way.

In reply, thanks to Tony Laggart's 76 and John Furkins' 70, Swindon gained a six-wicket victory.

Devizes 4th moved up to third thanks to a six-wicket win over visiting Blunsdon 2nd.

The visitors were dismissed for 146 (Ray Trotman 53). Lee Pitman took 3-25 and Felvin Keen 3-26.

Alan Swinburn (37) and John Bedbrook (31 not out) then spear- headed Devizes' reply and although Steve Fairclough took 3-36 they moved to a comfortable success.

United Churches 2nd entertained an in-form Highworth 2nd and saw them score 222-7 thanks to Danny Furkins' 54 and Andy Furkins' 33, while Peter Sharpe bowled well to take 5-39 in 10 overs.

Andy Furkins then took 6-30 in 12 overs and Andy Simmonds 2-15 in six as Churches collapsed to 61 all out.
