CHIPPENHAM under 13s, the East Division winners, have won the Bath League title outright after defeating West Division champions Timsbury in the league play-off.
James Bull (27), Uzi Qureshi (20) and David Brown (19) enabled Chippenham to reach 93-6 in their 20 overs. I Day (2-28) was the leading Timsbury bowler.
In reply, Timsbury struggled against very tight Chippenham bowling led by Brad Dawson (3-5 off four overs), Chris Blewitt (2-7) and Brown (2-18) and were bowled out for 64 to leave Chippenham winners by 29 runs.
CHIPPENHAM progressed to the semi-finals of the Bath League Cup with a comfortable 79 run victory at Bradford.
Phil Adams (58 off 56 balls) and Jonathan Day gave Chippenham a solid start before Marcus Brown (55 not out off 41 balls) joined Adams in a partnership of 85.
Adams hit seven fours and Brown nine fours as Chippenham posted 151-3 in their 20 overs. Bradford lost early wickets to the opening attack of Gwillam Dancey and Scott Mackie (3-7) and then struggled against the spin of James Bull (2-22) and Andrew Wilson (1-2 off three overs). Bradford were all out for 72.
Chippenham are away to Hampset in the semi-final.
