TWELVE teams competed in 85 degree heat on Sunday in Trowbridge Cricket Club's annual six-a-side tournament.
The top team from each of the four round-robin groups went through to the semi-finals.
In the morning session the Cumberwell Birdie Men narrowly lost one of their games to the Lockheath six from Fareham ex-Trowbridge bowler Dave Lemon's new club.
The South African side from Chantry TV lost out to Dave Hiscock's Spooners.
Some of the other earlier fallers were Damian Bence's Fire Brigade side and past winners Stone Supply Southern, made up from six footballers.
Paul Shanley's Six recorded two defeats, Craig Maplesden's Spice Girls winning one and losing one.
The Bradford Bulls also lost out. By 4.30pm the first semi-final had started - Mark Mullis' Ringers beating Lockheath Cricket Club.
In the other semi-final Pete Hickerton's Young Guns defeated the Spooners.
In the final Mullis Ringers scored 53 and the Young Guns knocked the runs off with an over to spare, with player of the tournament Ollie Smith scoring 32 not out.
