GIOVANNI Sperti is expecting to have only a bit part role for Corsham Town this season but the defender insists he is more than happy with life at the Southbank.
The left back, who helped Corsham win promotion to the Screwfix Premier League last season, could find it hard to win a regular starting line up after a number of new summer arrivals.
Experienced defenders Colin Towler and Dave Hopkins have been brought in leaving little space in the back four.
The 23-year-old is yet to feature in any of the pre-season friendlies due to injury and unavailability but Sperti admitted football was not his first priority this season.
He said: "I have just bought a house in Swindon with my girlfriend and so obviously that has to come first in my life at the moment. Because of everything going through my head in the last few weeks I have missed a lot of pre-season and I am probably a month behind everyone else.
"I have spoken to Colin Bush and he has told me he doesn't expect anyone to play every game this season and with the defenders brought to the club I accept I might have to settle with being on the bench sometimes."
Corsham travel to Biddestone on Tuesday night.
