A SECOND accident happened in Lady Lane within hours of a 25-year-old man being struck in a hit and run incident.
A lorry and a four-wheel drive vehicle were involved in a collision at 9am yesterday.
Hours before, Paul Boden had been rushed to Great Western Hospital after being dragged along the road by a hit- and-run driver.
No one was injured in the second incident but police closed the road in one direction while the two vehicles were towed away.
The road was re-opened about 1pm.
Lorry driver Tom Redmond had just left a building site near Lady Lane when the accident happened.
He said: "It all happened very quickly."
Nearby resident Sue Ottley, of The Beeches, said: "I heard a loud bang at about 9am and came out to see what had happened."
