Ref. 30860 & 30897 Matthew Styles and Mitchell McCarthyMICHAEL McCann paid emotional tributes to Matthew Styles and to his nephew Mitchell McCarthy.
And he said he would never forget either of them.
Mr McCann met Matthew at the Moonrakers pub, Cricklade Road, and they became close friends.
"He was a lovely guy and always smiling," he said.
"When you were in a bad mood he would take you to one side and help make a joke out of it."
Mr McCann was known as his nephew's favourite uncle and would take the youngster, who had Downs Syndrome, to football practice every week.
"He was such a lovely lad and no matter how much he tried to annoy me he would always make me smile," he said.
"When I'm down I look at a photo of him by my bed and think I'm still here and I will keep on fighting for him.
"My other nephew, Jayme-Lee, is now helping to give me strength."
