THE sun shone and the crowds turned out for Charlton summer fete at the weekend.
Attractions included a flower show, antiques and a boules competition. There was a darts and golf game and raffle. Malmesbury Town Band played and there was a barbecue.
Claudine Pynn won the challenge cup and chairman's cup for the best flowers and Georgina Carter won the embroidery and crafts competition.
The £2,000 raised will go to providing disabled access for the village hall, Charlton Recreation Centre and the churches in Charlton and Hankerton.
