13765/5MALMESBURY Library took under fives back to the Jurassic age last Thursday with a reading morning called Dinosaur Junk.
More than 25 gathered to hear storyteller Caroline Kennedy read about the pre-historic creatures.
Mrs Kennedy chose a book called Harry and the bucket full of dinosaurs by Ian Whybrow.
The story tells of a young boy who finds little dinosaurs in his grandmother's attic and then carries them around.
But, one day the dinosaurs get lost, and Harry has to try and prove to a lost property manager they belong to him.
Another treat was when the children followed dinosaur footprints around the library, before making a dinosaur collage.
The youngsters finished by making dinosaur Plasticine models to take home.
Supervisor Susan Smith said: "Quite a few of the children knew the names of the dinosaurs and wore T-shirts with them on. It was great fun for everybody.
"They particularly enjoyed making the collage because they played dinosaur dominos and then had to find a partner to make the picture."
The next reading activity will be ghostly tales for children between five and eight.
It takes place on August 26 from 10.30am to 11.30am.
