WOMEN who ran around Lydiard Park for Cancer Research UK are being urged to hand in their sponsorship money.
A record 3,000 women took part in the Race for Life in June and so far just over £100,000 has been returned.
But organiser Karina Morgan says there are many contestants who have yet to hand over their cash.
She said: "Our target is £210,000, so we desperately need those woman who haven't collected or returned their sponsorship money to do so as quickly as possible.
"We have been overwhelmed by the number of women who took part this year.
"The important thing now is to keep the sponsorship money coming in. With each entrant raising an average of £87, we should top our nationwide goal of £20m."
Every penny raised goes to help scientists who are working to cure cancer. For more information on what to do with sponsorship money, call 0870 5134314.
