Darcey Bradley, fiveWESTBURY Library went puppet crazy on Saturday as children and their parents created their own fairies.
Ten families took part in the two-hour session led by artist and storyteller Kathy Kelly in what was a new venture for the library.
This was the first time staff hosted a Family Learning Workshop funded by Wiltshire's Life-long Learning Centre and the event proved a big hit.
The families were tasked with making their favourite characters from fairy tales and came up with many colourful creations.
Library assistant Tina Ellis said: "We could only have 25 places because of the room we were in and we completely filled them up. They packed out the place, it was great fun."
The next holiday session at Westbury Library is on August 21 from 10am to 12pm.
