Garry Whitaker, Age 37, working for Halcrow Group, Burderop Park, Wroughton.

SO WHAT DO YOU ACTUALLY DO?: I'm responsible for the company's external communications.

WHAT DO YOU HATE MOST ABOUT YOUR JOB AND WHY?: Emails I get so many! I'm really keen that people start to talk to me rather than just send an email. People don't talk anymore.

DO YOU THINK YOUR COLLEAGUES LIKE YOU?: I brought chocolate into the office this week so I think I'm quite popular at present.

WHAT'S THE BEST BIT OF ADVICE YOU HAVE EVER BEEN GIVEN?: Never say or write anything in anger or when stressed. Take a deep breath and think before you speak. Otherwise it will come back to haunt you!

WHAT'S THE BEST BIT OF GOSSIP YOU HAVE EVER HEARD ABOUT YOURSELF?: Haven't heard any. Not sure what is worse - having gossip or not having gossip.

WHAT JOB DID YOU WANT TO DO WHEN YOU WERE YOUNG AND WHY?: I always thought I'd be a good entertainer when I was very young. I thought that being on TV would be really cool. It looked dead easy and you could make lots of money. In later years I wanted to be an accountant.

IF YOU COULD HAVE A DREAM JOB, WHAT WOULD IT BE? I'd quite like to be a landscape photographer as I can't draw.

HOBBIES: I enjoy travel, photography, wine, gardening, swimming and watching TV.

IN JOB TERMS, WHO OR WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR GREATEST INFLUENCE AND WHY?: This might sound corny but the work Halcrow does can have a profound effect on you. So many of our projects make a difference to people's lives it makes you want to give your best. I
