Ref. 71741-87 Bridging the gap . . . branch manager Claire Bishop-Apsey and consultants Andrea Rains and Linda AkehurstA NEW guide aims to help parents who have taken a long family break to get back into work.
To take the edge of what can be a daunting move, recruitment firm Kelly Services, which has an office in Regent Circus, Swindon, has produced a Returners' Guide to the Workplace.
Now available in the Swindon office, it has advice for parents who may not have worked for several years.
"One of the main concerns of potential returners is a worry over lack of skills which goes hand in hand with a lack of confidence," said Claire
Bishop-Apsey, Kelly's Swindon branch manager.
"But what we are interested in is looking at what people can offer.
"Many employers now recognise that returners with a wealth of experience offer a very attractive proposition. Bosses want staff who can 'get on with the job' without being told precisely what to do all the time and who are really committed." To get a guide or find out more call 01793 488 960.
