CARERS in west Wiltshire are celebrating a new Act of Parliament aiming to improve their rights.
The Carers (Equal Opport- unities) Act, which will come into force in April next year, means carers will have to be told about their rights and have more opportunities for work, education and leisure.
There will also be greater collaboration between statutory services to help them in their caring roles.
