LONGLEAT has been removed from a website advertising spots where strangers can meet for lurid sexual encounters known as 'dogging'.

The stately home near Warminster was listed among 21 UK beauty spots favoured for the late night practice brought into the public eye by ex-footballer Stan Collymore earlier this year.

Managers of the website this week agreed to erase the popular family attraction, which also includes the Center Parcs resort, from its listings after Longleat staff contacted police.

When contacted, Longleat spokesman Florence Wallace declined to comment.
