JACK Nicholas signed for Biddestone this week despite being issued with an ultimatum by his former Corsham Town boss, Colin Bush.
Bush told the 17-year-old defender that if he signed Screwfix League forms for Biddestone he would not allow him to continue playing for Corsham Town's youth team.
Nicholas, who had been at Corsham for two years, decided to leave the Southbank anyway in pursuit of regular Screwfix League football.
He said: "This will be my last year before I go away to university so I wanted to have a go at playing higher league football. I thought Colin Bush would understand my reasons, because I wasn't going to get in their first team, so I was disappointed he reacted like that."
Bush said: "A few years ago, Ben Highmore was playing for Corsham's youth team and Calne's first team. He scored the winner for Calne in a first team game and we can't let that happen again."
l Nicholas took part in Biddestone's 2-2 draw with Devizes on Saturday, Will Edwards and Adam Gainey scoring for Biddestone, and also played in Tuesday's 1-0 defeat to his former side Corsham Town.
