15648/2POETRY lovers of all ages were entertained by Wiltshire's Australian poet, Mick Leigh, at the mobile library in Holt on Saturday.
Mr Leigh, wearing his Aboriginal hat, read about 10 poems from his new book The Big Book Of Bonza Poems.
He said it was very interactive, with role-play and a chance for the audience to read some of his poems.
"I have done hundreds of performances but that was so relaxed and I didn't feel tired afterwards like I sometimes do," he said.
Mr Leigh praised Penny England, community librarian for Bradford Library, for her hard work in making the day a success.
He said: "She's put an awful lot of work into it. It was to promote the mobile library, which is grossly under-utilised."
Mr Leigh tours schools all over the world as an "educational motivator", reading his poems to children and encouraging them to join in.
