15654/06A COACH firm owner is counting the cost after one of his vehicles was involved in a three-vehicle crash near Trowbridge.
Two people suffered back and neck injuries in the crash near Southwick, on Satur-day, while the 50-year-old coach driver, from North Bradley, has been signed off work suffering from stress.
An Audi A4, Saab and Mercedes coach belonging to Midsomer Norton based JVA Sunseeker Tours, were involved in the crash at 4.12pm.
It is believed the coach swerved onto the wrong side of the road to avoid the Audi, which was turning off Frome Road towards Rode.
The 12-ton vehicle collided with a Saab travelling towards Trowbridge and veered off into a field. There were no passengers on board.
Coach firm manager Andy Chivers said the coach, one of an eight-strong fleet, could be a write off.
"The brakes locked and the driver swerved to miss the car but there was a car coming the other way and he caught the two of them," he said.
"I am glad an articulated lorry or another coach was not coming the other way or else who knows what could have happened."
