A MAN with severe learning difficulties has been missing for more than two days. At 9am on Thursday, 30- year old Wayne Lanfear was reported missing by his mother.

Wayne was last seen at 12.30pm on Wednesday when he left his father's home in Wootton Bassett to make his way to the bus stop in Longleaze Close

He has severe learning difficulties, and is 6ft tall with short dark blond hair and blue eyes.

He has a snake tattoo on his right forearm and was last seen wearing blue or black jeans, black trainers and grey jacket and carrying a red holdall with the word TRAVEL on it.

Wayne lives with his mother in Old Town and had been visiting his father. The normal arrangement is that he catches either the number 54 or 55 bus from the stop in Longleaze Close, Wootton Bassett, and returns to Swindon where he is met by his mother.

Unfortunately, his mother was ill and unable to meet him. It is not known whether he boarded the bus or not, but he did not get home and has not made any contact with his family.

Swindon Police and Wayne's family are concerned for his welfare.

A police spokeswoman said: "We make an urgent appeal for anyone who may have seen Wayne either waiting at the bus stop or on the bus.

"We would also like to hear from anyone who may know of his current whereabouts or can give information of any sightings."
