The first Intermach Sunday Conference fixture of the season was played at Chiseldon between BP and Red Lion (Wootton Bassett).
Red Lion opened the scoring on 15 mins with an early goal. BP had several good opportunities to equalise during the first half but the opposing keeper pulled off some outstanding saves.
In the second half, BP took control of the possession and equalised through Brett Fielder.
Shortly afterwards a confident strike by Paul Stoddart put the home side in front.
Red Lion raised their game and put BP under pressure which eventually led to an equaliser on 75 minutes.
Both sides then fought for all three points, with the opposing side having the better chances to snatch all three points, but in the end the final score line stayed at 2-2.
Mainlink Couriers start their season with a game against BP tomorrow and will be looking to go one better than their second place last year.
Other teams taking part this season include Dunbar, Nationwide, BSB Utd, Goatacre, plus new teams AFC Rodbourne, Cricklade Town and Pinehurst Community.
