Ref. 71713-11A DEVOTED father is to be sentenced by magistrates next month.
The Swindon bench heard that Paul Hammond admitted assaulting Karen Farr, his ex-partner, but did not agree entirely with the prosecution version of events.
Prosecutor Marion Langford said the assault happened at Miss Farr's house.
"She tried to leave and call the police on her mobile 'phone, but he picked her up and threw her down on the lawn."
Chris Smyth for Hammond, 35, of Petersfield, said he had not picked Miss Farr up but accepted the rest of the account.
Hammond was last week given 200 hours community punishment by Swindon Crown Court for dangerous driving and causing criminal damage after he admitted repeatedly nudging Miss Farr's car with his own as she tried to drive home.
He is due to appear before the magistrates for sentencing on a charge of common assault and another of driving without a licence on September 7.
