Ref. 71778-16A LEVELS: SARAH Gray relishes the idea of having an adventure once the stress of exam result day is over.
The 18-year-old hopes to save up enough money to work with sea turtles during her gap year.
She wants to take a break in her education to make sure she is making the right choice about going to university.
She took a BTEC in performing arts and an A- Level in English literature at Swindon College.
She said: "Of course I'd love an A in English but I'll probably get a B or C.
"I am not overly worried because I am waiting a year before going to university.
"I wanted to make sure I was doing the right thing because performing arts is such a competitive field.
"I know some people who kept jumping from course to course when they got to university because they weren't sure about what they wanted.
"It will also give me some time to get know myself better.
"When you are in education, you get ideas foisted onto you.
"If I take myself out of that environment for a while it will probably push me to go further in the future."
