THERE will be more chances to tour the Roman site at Groundwell Ridge where exciting finds were made at digs last month.
Heritage Open Days are being held by English Heritage to allow visitors free access and a guided tour.
Among the finds during this year's excavations was a bust of a goddess, thought to represent Isis or Minerva.
Other artefacts uncovered include a silver bowl, glassware, pottery, coins and a jet brooch.
Archaeologists believe the 12 hectare site was once a villa with dining rooms, a gymnasium and hot and cold baths.
The no-cost tours on September 11 and 12 run from 10.30am until 2.30pm and last 40 to 45 minutes each. There are children's tours, adult tours and also a trip for wheelchair users at 2.30pm on the Sunday.
All the tours for the able bodied leave from North Swindon Library next to Asda Wal-Mart.
The wheelchair tours leave from St Andrew's Ridge Village Centre and finish at the end of Lady Lane with transport back to the start.
Booking is essential by calling Laura Bullivant on 01793 414844.
Interest was first sparked at the site when builders found a Roman well in 1996.
