THERE was no shortage of entries for the horticultural and agricultural classes at the ever popular Somerford Show on Saturday.
Visitors to the 109th traditional show at Brook Farm, were able to admire a large variety of entries as well as enjoying a dog show, a duck race and trade stands.
Around 100 dogs competed and 500 plastic ducks were dropped into the nearby river for the race.
Graham Singer, secretary of the show, said it was an excellent day for adults and families. "It was a real family day out.
"The show is a just like any other typical country show.
"It is very, very popular and people come to see old friends."
The proceeds will be divided between Little Somerford Village Hall and Dauntsey Village School.
