SWINDON Supermarine's first home game of the Southern League season ended in a 2-0 defeat to Evesham on Tuesday night
Following their stunning come from behind 3-2 victory at highly favoured Bedworth on Saturday in the season opener, this was a disappointing result for Supermarine.
On Tuesday the visitors took the lead in controversial fashion on the half-hour when David Cairns' looping header dropped in despite offside protests.
Evesham doubled their lead a minute later when Ian Howell's pass fell short of Giles Harris and Lee Ross picked up the loose ball and fired home.
Swindon were unlucky not to score with Tony Joyce's header striking the base of the post, Alan Young seemingly upended in the box, and Lee Knight striking the bar.
