Thousands of pounds in grants has been handed out to clubs and organisations in Corsham by the town council.
A total of 36 groups will benefit from the grants, which range from £50 to £1,000, and the hand-outs total £3,725.
The beneficiaries include parent and toddler groups, a 60 plus club, sporting and arts organisations.
Jock Fraser, chairman of the town council, said: "The town council is pleased to be able to help such a wide range of local groups, many of which have little access to funding elsewhere.
"These groups are an important aspect of an active community life and the number of people benefiting runs into thousands."
He said the awards were made annually and a grants sub committee sifted through the applications to pick out requests that would improve life for people in Corsham.
"All the awards we made are to worthy recipients," he said.
"The grants we give are a great help to some of the smaller groups in the area."
